The Interacoustics Academy
The Interacoustics Academy is the branch of Interacoustics which is solely dedicated to providing training and access to materials related to audiological and vestibular technologies and their applications. To allow clinicians to access all materials in a single area we have developed a dedicated online learning space. Here we specialize in providing expert knowledge on new areas and/or complex areas in diagnostic audiology. From 2 minute quick guide video to 45 minute webinar exploring a topic in real depth we provide a variety of training materials which are tailored to cater for needs of even the busiest clinicians.
A selection of different professional organisations already use our space as a platform to acquire CPD points such as the American Academy of Audiology and Audiology Australia. We encourage BAA members to also take advantage of this learning environment. The core topic areas we provide training on are:
- Evoked Potential Assessment
- Balance Assessment
- Hearing Aid fitting
- Otoacoustic Emissions
- Tympanometry including Wideband Tympanometry
Below is a breakdown of the materials we currently create.
Our video tutorials last from 2 – 5 minutes and introduce clinicians to the principles of preparing a patient for a certain test, recording a measurement, analysing a measurement and interpreting measurements. A full list and free access to our video tutorials can be found here:
Our e-learning content provides clinicians with 15 minute interactive online courses aimed at sharing insight into some of the most used tests and techniques in audiology as well as developing ones. By completing an e-learning course clinicians will have a sound knowledge of the area explored. A full list and free access to our e-learning can be found here:
Our webinars are where we really dive into a topic into detail and provide the core underlying audiological principles to ensure that clinicians truly understand an area in diagnostic audiology. These webinars usually take around 45 minutes and are frequently hosted by key opinion leaders and International experts. A full list and free access to our webinars can be found here:
Lastly if you are looking for the evidence behind a certain audiological test or the technology used within a certain device then we encourage you to explore the related materials section of our website. Here links to academic papers and short summaries of key papers are provided. A full list of our related materials can be found here:
