Rosalyn Parker

I completed my undergraduate training at the Universities of Southampton and Manchester, qualifying with a BSc in Audiology in 2010. Following qualification, I returned to the North East, where I worked within a large comprehensive NHS department for 9 years, specialising in hearing rehabilitation and vestibular disorders. I completed an MSc in Rehabilitative Audiology through Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh alongside clinical duties and in September 2019 I took my current role as a Research Audiologist within a large NHS service in the West Midlands. Current research activities include remote assessment pathways, auditory implants, and tinnitus treatment.

Working within clinical research offers opportunities to engage in leading technologies and novel tests and work collaboratively with a range of different professionals. I also lead the organisation and facilitation of the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement group PANDA which offers fresh perspective on working alongside patients.

I am passionate about professional development ensuring an engaged and highly qualified audiology workforce delivering the best in patient care. In the wider network, I am a member of the British Society of Audiology (BSA) Research and Development committee.

Outside of audiology I enjoy travelling and exploring new places. I am also a Disney fanatic and have even managed to combine my running hobby with running challenges around Walt Disney World and Disneyland!
