The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) are looking to increase support and training for the Audiology profession to be involved with research in clinical practice. To start this, they are running a free introductory course on research delivery, as an online course, run over 3 separate days, with a focus on research delivery. It would be an excellent grounding for those with limited experience of research or who want to learn more about research delivery.

Are you interested in learning about how health and social care research happens, and making it a part of your practice?

This three day course offers an opportunity to learn about the essentials of health and social care research and will provide an insight into how research is designed and undertaken across a range of settings. It will look at how organisations support research and give you the opportunity to explore how research is embedded in practice as well as some of the career opportunities that are linked with health and social care research.

Is this course for you?
This course is aimed at all health and social care staff who have an interest in health and social care research with limited recent experience. You will currently be employed within primary, secondary or social care, public health and other community settings. Support from your line manager is essential, together with approval to attend all three workshops.
This course is free to attend.

The second workshop is all about research practicalities and will give you an understanding of the different ways you can be involved in research.
The third workshop is about useful behaviours in research which will help you to engage with your colleagues and research participants in your practice.
