`All Wales’ Conference: A Healthier Wales: Moving Forward together and Advancing Healthcare Awards Wales 2021
On Thursday 25 November 2021 WAHPC and WSAC will be holding a virtual one-day conference. This will be followed on Friday 26 November (3-5pm) by the Advancing Healthcare Awards Wales ceremony organised by Chamberlain Dunn.
These events will be an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the important and innovative work of allied health professionals and healthcare scientists across Wales.
“We are delighted to announce our National conference on 25th November and the Advancing Healthcare Awards Cymru (AHA Cymru) ceremony on 26 November 2021. We ask for your support in recognising and celebrating the achievements of all our professions throughout Wales.
Together allied health professionals and healthcare scientists offer a unique set of skills that drive transformation of health and care systems. Innovation, extended roles and scientific and clinical excellence have been at the forefront of the health and social care response to the Covid19 pandemic. Our theme for this conference is ‘Moving Forward Together’, with a focus on leadership, research and development, and digital transformation.
We look forward to sharing and celebrating how together the professions will help move the system from delivering traditional models of care into a new era of health and social care.’’

Advancing Healthcare Awards Wales
This awards programme is open to AHPs and healthcare scientists throughout Wales, recognising and celebrating the achievements of these professional groups.
There are 8 awards open to enter:
- The award for new ways of working
- The award for improving public health outcomes
- The award for outstanding contribution to research delivery
- The award for leadership and change management
- The award for outstanding student project which helps Wales move forward together
- The award for excellence in rehabilitation
- The award for digital and technology innovation
- The award for outstanding achievement by an AHP or healthcare science apprentice, support worker, assistant or associate
The winners will be announced at the virtual ceremony on 26 November. The closing date for entries is 17.00 Friday 10 September 2021.
