An undiagnosed hearing loss can negatively impact development and hinder communication. Prevalence of hearing loss is believed to be greater in children with a learning disability than in typically developing children.

NHS England has completed work to increase access to ear checks for students attending residential special schools. This included a pilot and multiple stakeholder events. This work has been evaluated and supported by the Health Innovation Network (HIN) and has led to the development of an implementation toolkit.

We invite you to attend this webinar to hear more about the ear checks pilot programme, learning from the evaluation, and resources included in the implementation toolkit.

When is it?

Tues 19th September – 10am – 12noon

Who should attend?

The event is open for registration to stakeholders with an interest and/or subject matter expertise in ear checks for children in residential special schools, including school staff, commissioners, parents and carers.
