DESCRIPTION:Paediatric Tinnitus in Practice\n– Assessment\, management and practical strategies for clinicians \nThursday 30th April \nBrockholes Nature Reserve\,\nPreston\,\nLancashire\nPR5 0AG \nJoin us for a practical\, clinically focused education day exploring how to assess and support children and young people who experience tinnitus. \nSupporting children with tinnitus in everyday clinical practice \nThis education day focuses on the assessment and management of tinnitus in children and young people\, with a strong emphasis on practical\, transferable skills that can be applied confidently in clinic. \nIt is estimated that 1 in 30 children experience tinnitus that is troublesome. Asking about tinnitus as part of a hearing assessment is essential—but clinicians often feel uncertain about what to do next when a child reports tinnitus. \nThrough a programme of presentations\, discussion\, and hands-on practical sessions\, this course will help you build a safe\, structured toolkit of strategies to support children with tinnitus in your own service. \nThe venue provides an ideal setting to step away from the pressures of daily clinical work and engage in learning in a calm\, relaxed environment —particularly relevant when considering relaxation\, stress\, and tinnitus management. \nCourse content \n\nPrinciples of working with children and young people with tinnitus\nHistory taking: gathering meaningful information\, questionnaires\, and identifying red flags\nAssessment top tips: common pitfalls and successful strategies\nChild-friendly explanations\, including use of the child-friendly tinnitus model\nManagement strategies: building your toolkit\, practising techniques\, and sharing resources\nTinnitus and school: supporting teachers and educational settings\n\nTimings \n9.30am – 4pm \nRegistration from 9am \nCost: £180 \nPayment by BACS.
