The British Academy of Audiology is pleased to introduce the draft of the new Quality Standards for Adult Hearing Rehabilitation Services for consultation. The document is the culmination of a collaboration from across the nations of the UK to try to provide one consistent approach to quality standards for Adult Hearing services.
At this time, the group is inviting comments on the standards themselves before the formation of a wider, top level document, which may be country specific as the standards move towards adoption. It is intended that these standards are consistent across all nations of the UK, but it is accepted that the evidence required to show compliance may differ in different nations due to the devolved nature of healthcare.
The BAA would like to extend its thanks to all members of the working group for the development of these standards.
