After lots of hard work from the curriculum review groups, the National School of Healthcare Science has asked for the draft curricula for Audiology to be shared for comment.
Each curriculum review group was asked to consider the skills and knowledge a trainee would need for their first day on the job as a Clinical Scientist in Audiology. You can find out more about the process they followed to develop the curriculum content here.
Now they need to hear from you. Are the skills and knowledge included set at the right level, does it uphold the standards of practice expected from a Clinical Scientist and will a trainee completing this programme be valuable in the workforce? Your feedback will inform the final curricula and will help to shape the future of the Scientist Training Programme for Audiology.
The NSHCS is asking you to take a look at the curriculum and provide your feedback through a survey, this should take you around an hour.
They welcome feedback from anyone with an interest in Audiology, so please do share this information with your colleagues.
The deadline for providing feedback is 5pm on 31st January 2021.
You can view the draft curriculum in the Curriculum Library- https://curriculumlibrary.nshcs.org.uk/stp/review/specialties/
Please click on the tabs in the modules to view the content and the link in the green bar to provide feedback. Or feedback here: https://healtheducationyh.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/audiology-stakeholder-review
You can also review the Clinical Assessment and Investigation shared rotation separately, this can also be found in the Curriculum Library.
