The Ida Institute has a section on its website dedicated to Celebrating Hearing. They have created materials designed to raise awareness of hearing loss and encourage people to take action on their hearing loss. The campaign invites people to test their hearing in just two minutes – or to invite someone they know to take the test. The Things You Never Get Around to Doing campaign videos are a great concept to raise awareness
As part of the effort to support World Hearing Day, the Ida Institute has designed the campaign, “The Things You Never Get Around to Doing.” Things such as replacing a missing button on a coat or fixing a broken step in the staircase are easy to put off until later, but it gives you a sense of satisfaction once you have done something about them. These different scenarios are tied together with the concept of hearing – quality of life is improved if you take action on your hearing loss. So why keep putting it off? By raising awareness of how common hearing loss is and how simple the first steps of making an appointment with a hearing care professional and getting a hearing screening can be, Ida hopes to bridge the gap between awareness and action.
