Guest Speaker: Dr Sam Lear

Sam is a registered Clinical Scientist with 30 years’ experience working in Audiology in the NHS. Her main work role is now as Senior Audiology Policy Advisor for the National Deaf Children’s Society. However, she still works part-time as a Lead Clinical Scientist in Hearing Services at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Clinically, her passion has been to provide an excellent, continually improving service for children and young people with hearing loss. I have a special interest in complex paediatric assessment, including vestibular assessment, and counselling children and young people with tinnitus and listening difficulties. I was one of the first audiologists to graduate with a Clinical Doctorate in Healthcare Science, having completed the Higher Specialist Scientific Training.
