David is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University. His research focuses on hearing health, digital technologies, and promoting healthy lifestyles for people living with multiple long-term conditions and disabilities.
Before joining Loughborough in 2019, David was a Research Fellow at the NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre (2015-2018) and a Research Associate at the MRC Institute of Hearing Research (2012-2015). He holds a PhD in Psychology and is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society.
David is currently Director of Undergraduate Studies within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences. He also serves as Research Lead for the British Psychological Society’s Division of Health Psychology, Vice-Chair and Research Lead for the British Society of Audiology’s Cognition and Hearing Special Interest Group, a core member of the British Society of Audiology’s Adult Rehabilitation Special Interest Group (ARIG), and a member of the UK Young Academy.
David has been a valued member of the BAA Conference committee for several years now. He has a reputation for being a fierce abstract judge!
