Linor is the Welsh representative on the BAA SQC and the Cochlear Implant representative on the HTS committee.
I started my career in Audiology when I completed my MSc at The University of Manchester in 2008. I then went on to complete the Certificate of Clinical Competence at Wrexham Maelor Hospital and the Countess of Chester Hospital and then went on to complete the CAC at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Bodelwyddan, North Wales where I have stayed since.
I am currently the Clinical Lead for Adult Cochlear Implants at the North Wales Auditory Implant Programme which is based in Glan Clwyd Hospital. My clinical role includes all aspects of cochlear implants and diagnostic audio vestibular work. Outside of my clinical role I am a STP supervisor and lead the All Wales Preceptorship scheme. I also recently led the development of the Quality Standards for Auditory Implantable Services in Wales.
In September 2020 I started the Higher Specialist Scientist Training programme (HSST) in Audiology and I am now in the final stages of the last year of this training programme and hope to gain my doctoral qualification and registration as a Consultant Clinical Scientist by 2026.
I have been involved in BAA committees for many years and really enjoy being involved in the work of the BAA. I started off when I joined the BAA/BCIG Cochlear Implant Champions Committee in 2020 before shortly joining the SQC and then the HTS.
Outside of Audiology I have two sons and a husband who enjoy football and farming that keep me busy whilst I enjoy travelling, walking the Welsh hills and eating out with friends.
