Nathan is an audiologist in the NHS. He originally trained in New Zealand in Speech Sciences specialising in auditory training, speech recognition, and auditory neuroplasticity for Cochlear Implants in a clinical research setting. He did his Audiology clinical training at the University of Southampton and in Jersey and Bedford.

Nathan has had a profound hearing loss since age 2 and received a cochlear implant as a young adult during his early years at university in New Zealand.

In his spare time he is a keen photographer and likes travelling and enjoys hiking. He has been involved with the CI Champions committee since 2021.
