Hearing Balance and Communication: Impact on Quality of Life in Older Adults

Course information:
Older adults frequently experience interconnected hearing, balance, communication and cognitive difficulties impacting quality of life. This two-day online evidence-based masterclass provides practical strategies for assessment, rehabilitation and interdisciplinary care.
The different factors leading to deterioration of hearing and balance functions in the elderly will be discussed in detail, including biological and environmental factors. The effect of cognitive decline on hearing and balance, and vice versa, will be a focus for this module.

2. Microcreds or Assessed Route E535. 5 (IRL) M Level credits and 10 (UK) M level credits. Letter of Confirmation of credits and transcript will be issued upon completion. Approved by BAA Higher Training Scheme for audiologists.
