After the hugely successful previous 6 courses, we are delighted to announce the unique 7th Alder Hey Paediatric Vestibular Course exploring the different aspects of the paediatric vestibular system.

The course is aimed at clinicians in any discipline involved with paediatric balance. The course is open to a national and an international audience and will be held over 2 full days.

The course is enriched by an international faculty and by national experts who practice paediatric vestibular medicine. There will be interactive case-based discussions and practical workshops on the diagnosis and rehabilitation of paediatric vestibular disorders.

Course Outline:

• Development of the vestibular system

• Vestibular anatomy and physiology

• Paediatric vestibular history and assessment

• Use of latest cutting-edge tools to diagnose the vestibular system in children

• Paediatric vestibular radiology and surgery

• Paediatric vestibular pathology and management including motion sickness

• Paediatric vestibular rehabilitation including virtual reality

• Vestibular infant screening

• Practical workshops and interactive real case discussions

By the end of the course:

• Gain a working concept on the normal anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system in children

• Acquire knowledge about paediatric vestibular assessment and diagnosis

• Acquire knowledge about practical aspects of paediatric vestibular pathology and the diagnostic algorithm
