For audiology professionals, clinical excellence isn’t just about technical skill—it’s about how effectively we communicate with patients. The Therapeutic Language Workshop from Human Givens College offers BAA members a powerful opportunity to enhance one of the most underdeveloped yet critical clinical competencies: therapeutic communication.

Built on a practical, evidence-based psychological framework, the Human Givens approach focuses on using language to reduce anxiety, improve understanding, and support behaviour change—skills that are directly transferable to audiology settings, from managing patient expectations to improving adherence and outcomes.

In an environment where patient experience, counselling, and holistic care are increasingly prioritised, this training enables audiologists to move beyond information delivery—to truly influence, reassure, and support patients more effectively in every interaction.
