After my undergraduate degree I had a couple of years out and was struggling to find a career that interested me. I took a relative to an Audiology appointment and I’ve never looked back!

I did the MSc and CCC with the University of Southampton and then completed five modules of the Higher Training Scheme at Wrexham Maelor Hospital which enabled me to get Clinical Scientist registration through ASC Route 1. Since then I have been working as a Clinical Scientist at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board specialising in adult hearing rehabilitation, vestibular assessment and vestibular rehabilitation.

I am passionate about training and as well as my work with the HTS Committee, I am also a Training Officer and Assessor for the STP and regularly supervise trainees clinically at all levels.

Outside work I am continuing my own education by learning Welsh. I sing in a Welsh language choir and regularly compete in the National Eisteddfod both as part of the choir and as a soloist.  I also enjoy going walking in our beautiful Welsh countryside.
