Sam has over 20 years of NHS audiology experience, following completion of her Audiology MSc, then CAC, by 2003.
A registered clinical scientist, Sam co-leads the University Hospitals Sussex Adult Rehab service in Brighton, revelling in the collaborations this necessitates. Her clinical focus is improving access, assessment and aftercare services for those with complex needs.
Sam was part of the inaugural cohort completing the Mary Seacole program in 2014 (Mary Seacole programme – Leadership Academy). She used this opportunity to develop the Brighton audiology service for people living with dementia and hearing loss.
She was both honoured and humbled to be awarded BAA Audiologist of the year in 2019.
Sam has been a CI champion since the scheme was founded and joined the CI champion committee in 2024. She is also a member of the current BSA Audacity magazine editorial team.
