Faculty

De Montfort University (DMU) is a bold, forward‑thinking and proudly inclusive institution where innovation and ambition thrive. We are nationally recognised for our commitment to equity and excellence, holding Advance HE’s Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence for our sector‑leading Decolonising DMU work, and we are the first UK university to achieve the Race Equality Charter Silver Award.

Within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, we educate and empower professionals who make a real impact on people’s lives, health and wellbeing. This role sits within the Leicester School of Allied Health Sciences — a dynamic school with a strong reputation for high‑quality teaching, clinical excellence and meaningful industry engagement.

The Role

Join a passionate, supportive team delivering high‑quality teaching and training across a diverse and expanding portfolio of programmes. We are particularly seeking candidates with experience and expertise in paediatric audiology that includes assessment and rehabilitation of children. You should also have a good grounding in adult aural diagnostics and rehabilitation.

You will play a key role in shaping the next generation of audiology professionals — contributing to existing programmes, helping design new courses, and supporting innovative short‑course development. Our Audiology section is one of the largest and best‑equipped in the UK, featuring state‑of‑the‑art clinical facilities and cutting‑edge technology. The role also offers excellent opportunities to engage in enterprise activity, consultancy, and research.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and enthusiasm — a clinician or educator who genuinely loves the subject and wants to inspire others.

You will have:

  • A strong foundation in audiology and confidence teaching across a range of topics.
  • Significant clinical experience in paediatric audiology (a postgraduate qualification is welcome, but significant paediatric experience will equally be considered).
  • Creativity, initiative and a commitment to delivering exceptional learning experiences.
  • A desire to build and strengthen professional networks and contribute to the growth of our programmes.

If you’re passionate about shaping the future of audiology education and want to work in a vibrant, supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
