Georgie is a sociologist with a strong interest in health inequalities and the lived experience of hearing loss and tinnitus. She currently works at Aston University as a Lecturer in Audiology, teaching across both undergraduate Audiology programmes and the postgraduate Hearing Therapy programme. Alongside her teaching, Georgie contributes to research focused on patient experience and person-centred care in hearing healthcare.
Prior to joining Aston University, Georgie worked as the Research Officer for Tinnitus UK, where they explored the lived experiences of tinnitus across different populations. She later joined Aston as a researcher on the HeLP (Hearing Loss and patient reported experience) project, contributing to work focused on understanding and improving patient experience in audiology services.
Her work is underpinned by a commitment to amplifying patient voice, addressing inequalities in access to care, and integrating lived experience into both research and teaching.
